We are looking for a mechanical engineering student to intern with our growing ROUSH CleanTech team for the summer of 2026 term. You’ve likely heard of Roush, known for its engineering expertise, automotive performance and racing team. ROUSH CleanTech is the clean technology division of the company. We design and develop advanced clean transportation solutions, including vehicles fueled by propane autogas. With over 55,000 vehicles across the U.S. and Canada, chances are you’ve seen one of our school buses, transit vehicles or commercial trucks on the road. This is a paid internship, and located in Livonia, MI.

To be considered as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will need:
- Minimum sophomore standing at a college or university
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related mechanical degree
- Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Strong desire to learn body and vehicle engineering systems design, development, and testing as it is related to the automotive industry
- Willingness and desire to get hands-on experience
- Willing and able to work a 40-hour work week M-F onsite May through August
A successful Mechanical Engineering Intern may also have:
- Related education and experience in aerospace engineering
- Prior internship experience in an automotive related environment
- Hands-on mechanical experience through educational or personal hobbies
- Interest in an automotive culture
- Mechanical project team experience (SAE Formula/Baja/EV/etc.)
